On the way to France
Where to stop between Barcelona and France: stay in Figueres
Driving the AP-7 or taking the international high-speed train? Figueres is the natural place to break the journey, see the Dalí Theatre-Museum and sleep 50 m away.

Why stop here
Figueres is right on your route
The town is on the AP-7 and the N-II, a few minutes from the border at La Jonquera, and has its own high-speed station, Figueres-Vilafant, served by AVE and international TGV trains between Spain and France. Leave the motorway, park at a discount in the car park closest to the hotel and do everything on foot: the Dalí Theatre-Museum is 50 m away, the Rambla 1 minute, and right next door is Paradox for tapas and burgers. Next morning you're back on the motorway in minutes.
